Cabernet Franc
One of the parent grape varieties of Cabernet Sauvignon. This grape is widely grown in the Loire region of France, and does well in cooler, damper climates in general. It produces dark, almost purple colored wines that can be drunk young or aged and tend to have an herbal aroma when young.
