Velich Seewinkel Beerenauslese 2000

An interesting blend of 40% Welschriesling, 30% Bouvier, and 30% Pinot Blanc. From 375 ml bottle. Bright yellow-gold color. The nose is loaded with botrytis and apricots. On the palate, honeyed notes of peaches, French vanilla, hazelnut syrup, and roses emerge. This exotic-tasting wine has an unusually creamy texture and a long finish. It is quite approachable now, but still rather young, and it should continue to improve for several years. 93/100

Nice sweet nose of orange blossom and clover honey, nicely intense citrus and apricot fruit on palate. Good acidity balances the sweetness, and there's a nice creamy mouthfeel. A bit of oak distracts a little, but this should appeal to Kracher fans. B+/A-
