Governor Schwarzenegger signed off an "urgency measure," Senate Bill 607, which took immediate effect, making it legal for home winemakers to share their products with others, as well as show them off at various county and state fair wine competitions and events. California Senator Patricia Wiggins introduced the law almost immediately after winemaker Conn Murray discovered this arcane liquor law hanging over the heads of all California home winemakers.
