Winemonger Winery Visits!

The Basic Juice Live Austrian Wine Adventure is well under way, and blogger/adventurer Beau Jarvis has made recent visits to some Winemonger wineries.

Birgit and Stephan
Check out his reports from the vines of Sabathi, Jaunegg and Tschermonegg in Styria, and his visit with Birgit Braunstein and her fiancee Martin Pasler in Burgenland.

Here’s a picture he took of our very own Winemonger Stephan Schindler chatting with Birgit amongst her rows of great red wine grapes.

Check out all of the photos he took of the Winemonger Styrian wineries and his visit with Birgit Braunstein.

Michael and Stephan
Beau also made a stop in the town of Rust, where he tasted wines with Michael Wenzel of the Wenzel winery and Kurt Feiler of Feiler-Artinger.

Check out his tasting notes from those visits here, or look through his photo albums here. And look! It’s our own Winemonger again, this time with Michael Wenzel.

Beau’s next visit was with Heinz and Roland Velich of our Velich winery. He reviews the Tiglat, some sweet wines, and the new line of red wines masterminded by Roland. Read all about it.

Josef and Stephan
In the mighty Wachau region of Lower Austria, Beau sampled some of the 2005 vintage wines. You can get a preview of what we will soon make available if you read his tasting notes about the Gritsch Mauritiushof 1000-Eimerberg Riesling Smaragd, Hogl Ried Schon Gruner Veltliner Smaragd, and the Donabaum Spitzer Biern Neuburger Smaragd. While at the Hogl winery, he once again ran into our own intrepid wanderer. Pictured here is Stephan with winemaker Josef Hogl. You can see all of the photos Beau took in the Wachau when you visit his photo album.
